Have you been typecast as an antisocial? Have there been times when you feel you are very different from the peers you are in by the way you think, you feel and you act? Well, basically that instance of acting more mature than the typical person of your age and living more deviant when it comes to the norms of the society signifies an astounding thing. If you ever felt that way, you must possess in you an old soul.
I’ve always been fascinated with things that blends science and nature and found satisfaction by reading article from Spirit Science. One of which I stumbled upon is the entry about being an old soul, and so I’d like to share it with you.

- You tend to be a bit of a loner – Being wise beyond your years you often find that you do not fit within your usual circle, or people of your same age. That is why most of the times you often make friends with people much older than you are. When an old soul cannot find wisdom from other people he tends to go off on his own and search out his own path of self-discovery, thus making him look like a loner to typical people.
- You love knowledge, wisdom and truth — Growth and experience are powerful tools that you use in your studies.  Learning and understanding truth is one of the things that excite you the most. Ignorance isn’t bliss and that is why the older soul continually seeks out new ideas, philosophies and adventures. The older soul isn’t interest in the latest media scandal or the drama on the TV.
- You’re spiritually incline — The older soul has a deeper and more natural connection with the world around them. Although they may not be religious they connect better with nature and have a grand respect for mother earth. Sometimes they were see as the ‘black sheep’ of the family.  And even at times they were out right rebellious. An old soul often finds itself a bit alone or with only a few close friends, and younger soul will tack to this soul to seek guidance and speak to for wisdom. See? What you might have thought is an disadvantage is actually helpful in many ways. We need only to love and appreciate who we are and also understand and respect the differences among us.
We are all unique in our own perfectly imperfect ways, and that is what makes the humanity whole.
