Sony Xperia XZ Premium awarded Best New Smartphone
Sony’s very own Xperia XZ Premium was awarded at the Mobile World Congress by GSMA as the “Best New Smartphone”.
If you were leaving under a rock, the Xperia XZ Premium boasts its familiar design outline with a very shiny mirror-like finish that makes it a head-turner.
Apart from the design, what (probably) strengthen its stand for the award is the latest Snapdragon 835 – making it just the second flagship to officially bear the latest chipset. Samsung Galaxy S8 got dibs first.

Add to it the ultra slow-mo feature or also called as Motion Eye camera which records at 960fps set at 720p resolution – a world’s first and the 4K resolution that might become a standard for flagship tier.
Turns out, the FullVision display of the LG G6 and the second-generation camera of the Huawei P10 wasn’t enough to steal the Best New Smartphone award.
