Nokia 8 release date, rumored to be in June
HMD Global’s flagship smartphone or also unofficially known as Nokia 8, has been rumored to be launched in June.
Ever since the released of Nokia 6, fans of the Finnish company can’t get over with another comeback attempt of the “Legendary” brand.
After that, MWC happened where Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 completed the mid-range lineup of HMD. They even took us to a nostalgic trip with the addition of modern Nokia 3310 that comes, of course, with everlasting battery life and classic Snake.

HMD Global reported that it plans to release 6-7 smartphones for 2017 and right now, we are down to 3-4 more in store for us. Excluding, of course, the Nokia 3310 which is a feature phone.
Perhaps, we might see a Nokia 7 between the lines that will cater under the high-end tier. But who knows?
Anyway, we are skipping that for the meantime, as a rumor from China surfaced with the Snapdragon 835-powered Nokia 8, tipped to launch in June.
The date seems to make sense since Snapdragon 835 chipset was hoarded by the Samsung Galaxy S8 – delaying other companies using the same chipset like the Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
Nokia 8 might highlight a 23MP sensor but without PureView or Carl Zeiss branding. Still, it doesn’t mean it’s not great. Included in the report – there will be two models apparently for HMD Global’s flagship tier.
In terms of pricing, the base model will set you back at $579USD or Php29,000 while its bigger sibling will cost you $652 or almost Php33,000.
Do take this with some grain of salt as rumors are not always true.
