We’ve recently tackled about a game that was being developed, which was based on the well-known horror franchise “Friday the 13th” and how it has a pretty interesting multiplayer game mechanic. With that though, Gun Media official announced on the game’s official Facebook page a couple of days ago that they made there cut, they have $700,000 for the game.
Upon creating the article, i really got into the game’s mechanics of survival and murder multiplayer, wherein one player will play as Jason and seven other players will play as the fleeing camp counselors, wherein they have to work together and escape camp crystal lake and the clutches of Jason or simply find a way to take out the big and menacing Jason Voorhees. And with that, i kept on track of the latest updates on the Kickstarter campaign, always wanted to back it up, but couldn’t, due to monetary problems and the lack of knowledge of how Kickstarter works. Though i was really happy to see the game being funded and the team reaching their goal. As of now they have approximately $770,168, which is eye boggling.
We hope to see the game play out and right now, the game is pretty much official, however, currently they still have 24-hours to stretch their goals, which will actually help the company in providing more content for the game, though a single player campaign, only attainable once a few million dollars are reached, might be stretching things too far, however, i highly want to see it be a game thing. Truth be told, i don’t have an Xbox One, PS4 or a PC for that matter, though seeing as i’m a fan of the series and a passionate gamer, i want to see this as a possibility and it looks like things are looking up, not only for Gun Media and the game itself, but also for us Friday the 13th fans.
