A new Friday the 13th game is currently up for Kickstarter and it looks as menacing as Jason Voorhees himself. The upcoming Friday the 13th game is in need of reaching $700,000 to begin full production of the game in Kickstarter. What can we expect on this new Friday the 13th game, lets dig in a little deeper and uncover the truth, shall we?
The new Friday the 13th game is gonna be an asymmetrical game, where one player will play as “Jason Voorhees” the infamous creature of camp crystal lake, while seven other players will be playing as 7 camp counselors. The goal of the game is to evade the Jason player and escape camp crystal lake, will all your limbs (in short, alive). For the Jason player, its a game of cat and mouse, and find the camp counselors and kill them in a different ways, as to stab them with your trusty machete or impale them with a spear. For the camp counselors, however, its gonna a game of stealth, in which the players will have to work together in a group and go by alone to sneak out camp crystal lake and the clutches of the ever-so-dangerous Jason Voorhees.
The gameplay sounds like its gonna be similar to “Evolve” or even Left for dead, which is actually amazing, since cooperative play and strategy will play a major role in these games and how a games outcome will be is how you guys work as one. The game is pretty reminiscing of the typical slasher films, which can be seen in the camp counselor characters, which will be the usual troupe of the Cheerleader, the nerd, the jock, the girl-next-door aka the main protagonist and the edgy freaked out guy.
