Nokia 3310 pre-order goes hot in the UK
Excitement – the feeling that filled every person who owned a Nokia 3310 back then when HMD Global announced and released the modern Nokia 3310 that features indestructible build, long-lasting battery life, and good old Snake game.
With a price tag of roughly $50USD or Php2,600, it’s not bad to have those nostalgic features again.
Turns out, more people in the UK actually love the phone even with a few differences compared to the original product.
According to a UK retailer Carphone Warehouse, the sudden arrival of Nokia 3310 gave them an “unprecedented level of demand for a feature phone”.

While based on a research, the 3310 brand jumped to a whopping 797% people’s interest.
While in the US, the company is having trouble launching the phone despite the positive feedback.
The reason? Technology. Apparently, the modern Nokia 3310 uses a 900-MHz frequency in which the mainland does not support anymore. In order for the new 3310 to work, it has to use the 850-MHz frequency.
HMD Global are already in talks with US carriers, to make the Nokia 3310 available in the US but for that to happen, it needs to pass carrier certification and find a compatible technology.
At the very least, we do know that Nokia 3310 will come to the US but not as early as you think.
