The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) officially launched the Pink Bus today, March 9. This mode of transportation aims to give priority bus rides to women, minors, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“The Pink Bus project is proof that public transportation is ready to provide help to women, children, senior citizen, and PWDs to get to their destination and return home safely especially during the rush hours,”LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Winston Ginez said.

The Pink Bus of RRCG Transport will track the route from Cainta Rizal to Quiapo, Manila from 4AM to 9 AM and from 4PM to 10PM, according to Ginez.

The first unit of RRCG Pink Bus which was literally painted in pink, was also driven by a bus driver in a pink shirt.

The Pink Bus is the third mode of public transportation launched by the board next to the Pink Jeepney and Pink UV Express to aid women, minors, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) to commute during rush hour. The service was happily utilized by said sectors.
