Pokemon Go Trading Battle Player System Features Top 10

It was a daunting challenge for Niantic to making the experience of Pokemon a reality the world over. It was even more of an uphill battle to actually meet our collective expectations. Fast forward to about a month after Pokemon Go’s release, that the San Franciscan app developing firm start receiving yellow flags on downward trends for their latest ambitious undertaking.

From a Pidgey-party of creature spawns, towards lackluster gym battles that require only finger-mashing, to, ultimately, slow game development, it seems that all of NianticLabs’ efforts weren’t enough to make us feel like kids again – Because, at the end of the day, there’s more to Pokemon than just “catching ’em all.”

So what’s the next move for Niantic Labs Inc. to save its ailing project?

Delve into the Details

Call it nit-picking but one of my very first gripes was finding out that none of the Pokemon speak their names.

Allow players to level up their Pokemon by battling with wild Pokemon or even just battling with wild encounters to weaken Pokemon would have improved on the entire experience.

Battles have 2 moves too few for actual immersive gameplay that gave you the option to choose move-sets based on some strategic advantage.

Incorporate some aspect of an HM move that can be acquired through accomplishing a task that, say, a “flash” move reveals Pokemon in a certain location that refreshes after an hour or “fly” where you’re standing to reveal flying or floating Pokemon to give a few suggestions.

Being able to collect badges after defeating actual gym leaders. All 7 of them. Then incorporating a level after “bronze MoA badge” (for example) to increase competitiveness to get “silver MoA badge” to indicate your player level and so forth.

After such time Niantic has fine tuned the mechanics, we can head on over to something fans have been waiting for:

PVP Battle

Which is sort of a basic mechanic in the anime and the game. That was reserved to gym battles which is technically against AI.

Pokemon Go Buddy System

Which is basically a nod to Pokemon Yellow and Pikachu himself injecting nostalgia for original Pokemon lovers the world over.

Trading System

Because we don’t have Tauruses and Khangaskhans in the Philippines. Sharing is caring, people. It would have been much nicer to have had a trade mechanic incorporated.

Nominate Gyms and Pokestops

Because we live in an ever expanding, ever changing landscape and some of the Pokestops don’t even exist anymore. Besides, if more and more people want a gym where there’s none for miles, who else better determine which is a good spot? Of course a vote system should be implemented with additional verification features.

Elite Four Events

Who wouldn’t want international prestige? Throw in a national ranking system to show them who’s boss. Rare Pokemon events Where a player must fulfill certain tasks or arrive at key locations before encountering a legendary Pokemon at a predetermined place.

Maybe if Niantic held off a few more months to fine-tune their latest endeavor, things would’ve gone so much better. Because, ultimately, if the point of Pokemon Go was just to “catch ’em all” then that would have made Professor Oak “the very best that one ever was.”
