Samsung Exynos 9
Via Twitter post, Samsung teases their next flagship chipset, the Samsung Exynos 9.
The “Samsung Exynos 9” bears no official name but for the sake of this post, that’s how we will call it.
For some time now, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 has been leaked and rumored to carry a Snapdragon 835. This report seems to be true as the tech-giant hoarded all the available chipset. Just ask LG.

The verified account “Samsung Exynos” on Twitter did not reveal anything more – even the launch date, other than the number 9, of course.
Through Samsung’s post, this (sort of) confirms that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will sport either the Snapdragon 835 or the Samsung Exynos 9, depending on the region.
Last year, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge came with either Snapdragon 820 or Samsung Exynos 8890 Octa, wherein the international variant sported Qualcomm’s chipset.

Samsung might just be testing the waters for the past few months, just to see how customers will react with a Snapdragon 835 and Galaxy S8 combination.
But regardless, the company looks to stick to their own chipset in which may shed more light once it hits the Mobile World Congress.
