First impressions, hands-on
The almost bezel-free Xperia C5 Ultra is one of the most striking phablet we’ve encountered. The 6-inch Full HD display is sandwiched by a 0.8mm thin bezel. Top and bottom areas of the phone are efficiently designed to produce a smaller footprint. Overall screen-to-body ratio is 75.9% which is way ahead against iPhone 6 Plus, Zenfone 2 and its Xperia C4 sibling.
I’ve happened to briefly compare the Xperia C5 Ultra to Xperia C4. I noticed that the design and construction have greatly improved. Front panel is more attractive, thanks to the thin bezel. The back is coated with glass-like texture which makes it a premium-looking phablet. Edges are slightly tapered on back while sides are rounded, the frame feels more metal, but we doubt that Sony has incorporated a real metal frame at all. But, at least, this is a plus for robustness and looks.
Despite the phablet profile, the weight and size of Xperia C5 is just right for a quick one-hand use and perfect for your two hands.
The Japanese company managed to provide their Bravia Engine technology into the 6-inch screen of Xperia C5. I’d watched a short FHD clip from the device and I was amazed how surreal the viewing experience is.
Access to nano SIM and microSD card is through the flap door on the left side. You have a tray for the dual SIM card while the microSD card could be pushed into the slot.
Catering all selfie needs is a 13MP sensor paired with LED flash. The front-facing camera has departed big from the 5MP of Xperia C4 and Xperia C3. We currently testing the camera and other features of C5 Ultra, so stay tuned for our comparison and review.
If you are planning to get one, you can start checking out the offer of few online stores which will cost you around P18,700 suggested retail price.

Hi i recently bought my Sony xperia c5 and while using it i noticed that it was taking too long to charge. Is that because the stock wall charger only provides an output of 5.0v – 850mA
While other brands like my stock lg g3 wall charger provides 5.0v – 1.8mA which when I used took only a short time to fill up my battery. Sony also has a 5.0v – 1.5-8mA but is sold separately.
Is it also normal that my automatic Timezone changes back to gtm +1:00 whenever i’m in a no service area. This doesn’t happen on my Lg g3 or other andoid phones.
Ps. Can i use my lg g3 charger? After all it provides the same output of 5.0v?
check ur region if it sets correctly. you can turn off the Automatic Time Update via network.
Yes, you can youse 1.5A-2A charger.
