Two of Sony’s finest smartphone flagship will go head to head in this ultimate comparison review.
As, Sony Xperia C5 Ultra dual 4G LTE (priced at P18,700) takes on Xperia C4 (priced at P14,990).
The question now is, which phone would YOU want?
Design
A noticeable upgrade of design that can be seen on the C5 Ultra is its near to zero bezel (0.8mm exact measure) and its dimension measurement, which is 0.3mm thicker in comparison to the C4. The C5 Ultra is slightly more heavier, weighing at exactly 187g, compared to the 147g of its predecessor.
The C5 Ultra also has a glass like coating on its back, a feature not seen on C4.
Overall, the exterior design of the C5 has been upgraded significantly in par to the C4.

Display
The C5 Ultra’s screen size is relatively larger than the C4, measuring up to 6.0-inch, from the C4’s 5.5-inch screen. For their resolution, the 1080p FHD IPS resolution has not been changed, density wise, the C5’s 367 ppi is surprisingly lower than of the C4’s 401 ppi.
For brightness level, the two were identical, but in terms of color saturation, the C4 had the upper hand on C5 Ultra. Viewing angle is also relatively better in C4 compared to the viewing angle in C5 Ultra.

Camera
In terms of camera performance, both phones possesses an identical 13-megapixel camera, but in terms of image sharpness and detail preservation, the C5 Ultra easily surpasses the C4.

The front camera on the Xperia C5 Ultra is now 13MP, up from 5MP. Color reproduction is visibly better than the Xperia C4. We like the sharpness to on the former.
For video performance, again, the C5 Ultra shows more sharpness and details are more well preserved in comparison to the C4. White balance is also a bit more accurate on the C5 Ultra than of the C4.

Performance and Benchmarks
Both phones are powered by Mediatek 6752, a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Both are also protected by scratch resistant glass. The C5 Ultra and C4 both possesses an OS of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
For the boot up test, both functioned similarly, in a well suited fashion. Boot up speed is heavily similar to one another, so as far as we’re concern, the C5 Ultra and C4 are tied.
For the benchmark tests conducted on both phones, despite the many similarities of both phones, system wise. The C5 Ultra showed its supremacy over its predecessor by beating the C4 on 2 of 3 benchmark tests.

On the game loading test, both paired up amazingly, loading up the application at the same time, with a decent amount of loading speed. Truly both phones are like one another in many ways. The loading test for us, was a tie.
Speaker
The first difference we noticed in regards to speakers, is their positioning, since the C5 Ultra’s speaker is located at the bottom front.
Surprisingly though, the speakers on the C4 are higher of quality in terms of audio power and sound clarity.
The C5 Ultra’s speaker delivers a tinny depth of sound in comparison to the more balanced speaker of the C4.

Price and conclusion
Both Xperia phones are truly a like. Other than the few differences in camera performance and speaker quality, they still both function similarly.
Both the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and C4 are available now in the Philippines, online stores offer them at affordable prices.
