Always use the manufacturer-made batteries

Many think that smartphone batteries can function as one and the vast majority of batteries can be used to a majority of smartphones. However, that does not seem to be the case. One of the leading reasons why overheating issues and exploding battery incidents happen is that the users replace their main batteries with third party ones. This means that the phone itself might not be built to carry this particular battery and would often time act upon it. Always get your extra spare from a direct brand seller, which they can additional compatible batteries from the manufacturer, trust us, it might save you a lot of trouble.

Hot areas are a no, no

This is quite a common way to avoid overheating issues on your smartphone’s battery. It’s easy to assume that external heat affects your smartphone in more ways than one. It can either lower your phone’s performance or menacingly endanger their battery performance, either way, it’s best to always keep your phones out of high-temperature locations to avoid such a hassle.

Keep off the phone! While it’s charging

Using your phone while it’s still charging often generates internal heat and as we’ve learned, internal heat causes huge problems on our smartphones. Make sure to keep things at bay when your phone is charging. Try to avoid multitasking while your phone is charging, since this actually worsens not only the battery but also lowers the performance capacity of your phone, which is never a good thing. Don’t try to be over-eager and let go of your phone for a few hours

Always keep in mind your phone’s battery and charger’s voltage capacity

Having an idea as to what your charger and phone can and can’t do is always a good way to know its limits. Make sure you, at least, have known your phone’s battery capacity and voltage capacity to avoid any battery-related incidents and issues later on. This information will come very useful in times that you’ll have to charge outdoors or not specifically in your household since not every household carry the same volt measurement or count. If you need to know more about them, you can find the battery capacity info on your phone and charger.

Removing heavy apps on the background while charging might help

This is actually just pure guess, but I guess it’s better to put it here on the list. This speculation mainly says that it’s good to remove all possible background or active apps while charging to avoid overheating since it is true that certain active apps might provide internal heating while your phone is charging.

Make sure to always keep those apps in mind and when your charging, know when and if you actually need to remove them, non-heavy apps should do quite (facebook, social media), while heavy apps like your phone’s browser, youtube and anything that can access videos or music and media could still provide heat, despite not being actively used.
