With iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus arriving in the market as early as September 16, it surely put the pair in direct competition against several high-end Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7. And although most will complain about the expensive pricing compared to the competition, there are surely a handful of features that make the iPhone 7 series better even to the latest flagship Android phones.

Top 5 Reasons why Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are better than Android phones

Faster processor and more powerful graphics

The latest A10 Fusion quad-core chip is undoubtedly the fastest mobile chip right now. The latest Antutu ranking shows A10 chip scoring above 170k while the highest benchmark from Android is about 140k on OnePlus 3 with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 820. This only shows that every time Apple announces a brand new iPhone, it trumps other processors and graphics in terms of the actual benchmark.

More optimized operating software

Every iPhone comes with less bloatware and no carrier bundled apps making the system more optimized. Unlike on Android phone, either an OEM injects a set of bloat apps or the carrier will the one to include those which slow down the overall system sometimes.

If there is really an optimized Android software version, that would be on the Nexus or the upcoming Pixel lineup that run on stock Android. Even the most heavily beefed up Android like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (on 720p resolution) with 4GB RAM are behind in terms of speed compared to iPhone 6s Plus with 2GB RAM.

Gets software update on time

While all supported iPhone and iPad always receive software update simultaneously and on time, it’s a different story on Android and each manufacturer.

Most of the Android Lollipop phones are not even updated to Marshmallow and only most high-end devices will receive the Nougat later this year. Worse, some manufacturers will start seeding Android 7.0 Nougat up until mid next year.

In the case iOS 10 update, not only the previous iPhone 6s will be updated to the latest version, Apple has widened the support up to iPhone 5 which was launched several years ago.

Unified user experience

One of the advantages of Android over iOS is the wider customizations it offers. But this is also another reason why the user experience deteriorates on Android. Through customizations like the different UI that OEM users, the user experience becomes fragmented and even affects the performance of the system in the long run.

Higher resale value

After a year the iPhone still gets a better resale value than any Android phones in the market. It is likely your used iPhone 7 will still be valued for $500 in 2017 while the price of the brand Galaxy S7 will be halved from its original price.
