What’s next after Xiaomi’s Surge S1 chipset?
After the Xiaomi Mi 5C debuted with the company’s in-house built Surge S1 chipset, another is set to carry the next Surge 2 SoC. Serving as a predecessor to the Mi 6, the Xiaomi Mi 6C is speculated to arrive next month.
The upcoming Surge S2 chipset was said to already have begun mass production in Q3 this year. Some leaks also mention that the Xiaomi Mi 6C’s SoC could be on par with the Snapdragon 652. Other rumors about the Surge S2 is that it will be built with 16nm manufacturing processor.
The Xiaomi Mi 6C is expected to be a mid-ranger with a 5.65-inch FHD+ resolution and a 18:9 ratio display. Other rumors of the Xiaomi Mi 6C is that its remaining specs will be the same with the Mi 6. Price is assumed to be $406/PHP 20,700. Stay tuned for more updates!
