The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5‘s biggest feature is the alleged dual 16MP + 5MP main cameras. That’s according to the latest photos leaked. Along with the specs are confirmation of the final design that boasts thinner top bezels and $175 (Php 8,000+) starting price.
As for the internal features, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to feature octa-core Snapdragon 630 or 660 CPU with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Of course, option for microSD card slot expansion is always available.
There is also a smaller 3800mAh battery juice inside compared to the Redmi Note 4 and 4X’s 4000mAh batteries. But as usual, the new chipset promises more efficient and better battery life management on the Redmi Note 5.
There will be two color options at the start which is the Gold and Black. The official price is $175 for the 3GB + 32GB storage which is at $175 or about P9,000+ Philippine pesos including taxes. The top model, however, retails $220 or about Php 11,990 once available outside China.
Official launch and the release date is expected this October 2017 starting in China first.

obviously the latter. Even though the battery is slightly lower compared to the N4x, the processor and it’s gpu is more powerful (hoping they will use 660 instead of 630). It has usb type c as well so it will most likely use quick charge. It will probably also have an 18:9 body ratio so expect it to have a smaller body like a redmi 4x (not note 4x) with a 5.5 inch screen. And last but the not the least, the camera(s) which the article says can shoot 4k videos.
