It seems like Google is doing a good job when it comes to delivering faster software updates to OEMs, as Xiaomi has released its Android Q “adaptation plan”. Apparently, 9 Xiaomi phones, including the Redmi K20 Pro, are scheduled to get Android Q.

Xiaomi’s Android Q Adaptation Plan 2019-2020
In an MIUI forum post, an admin rep from Xiaomi posted a list of phones that will receive Android Q for this year until 2020. Pardon our translation prowess as the post is originally in Chinese.
By 2019 Q4, here are the following phones that will support Android Q:
- Mi 9
- Redmi K20 Pro
- Mi 8
- Mi 8 Pro
- Mi 8 Lite
- Mi Mix 2S
- Mi Mix 3
- Redmi K20
- Redmi Note 7 (2020 Q1)
- Redmi Note 7 Pro (2020 Q1)
- Mi 9 Se
Older models like the Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro are expected with later release dates.
Android Q was introduced just last month. Apart from performance and battery improvements, the 10th version of Android brings system-wide dark mode, better permission control, faster share menu, and support for foldable phones.
