Redmi Note 8 Pro Goes Official
As expected, Redmi Note 8 Pro carries four cameras — a 64MP main sensor + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP depth + 2MP macro sensor. The large sensor also uses pixel binning to deliver 16MP equivalent photos. Xiaomi is also teasing 960fps slow motion that’s likely dependent on software.
While the cameras are very impressive, gaming performance gets a boost, too, thanks to MediaTek’s Helio G90T chipset. In terms of spec sheet, this puts Xiaomi’s newest device ahead of Realme’s 5 Pro featuring Snapdragon 712. As for the display, it has a size of 6.53″ with FHD+ resolution. One unique feature the G90T brings is simultaneously connecting between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi for seamless gaming experience. Interestingly, the device comes with an optional game pad accessory that costs CNY 179 or roughly P1.3K.

Some of the features that further separates the pro model is the added liquid cooling technology. There’s also a larger battery capacity at 4500mAh. Last but not least is a special edition World of Warcraft Redmi Note 8 Pro, with themed accesories and packaging.

In the case of Redmi Note 8, it has four main cameras, albeit with Samsung’s 48MP ISOCELL GM1 sensor. The battery is rated at 18W for the 4000mAh. As for the display, it comes with a teardrop notch. But design-wise, the back and front glass is covered in Gorilla Glass 5 and is splash resistant. When it comes to performance, it uses Snapdragon 665 chipset. As for the rest, it comes with an audio jack and USB Type-C.
