In the Philippines, Asus dominated the mobile space for a few years due to the unique design (paired with affordable prices) of its smartphones. But as Oppo and Vivo became more popular to the masses, the Taiwanese company faded into the background. But with the recent leak of its upcoming ZenFone 6, could it finally bring itself back on track?

Asus ZenFone 6 design leak
What’s been posted on Twitter by well-known leakster, @evleaks, is now being considered as the ZenFone 6 flagship phone. Coming from the designer of ZenFone 5 series, the leaked photo features a dual-slider design: sliding up reveals the Harmon Kardon speakers on the bottom, sliding down reveals another set of speakers with the selfie camera. Although it’s expected to feature an under-screen fingerprint scanner, we still see, what it looks like to be, a capacitive scanner on the back.
Spec-wise, the upcoming flagship phone will feature the Snapdragon 855 SoC but with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. That said, the ZenFone 6 is expected to be announced on May 16 in Valencia, Spain. Are you excited for a dual-sliding phone?
