Honor 10, Play, and V10 to receive EMUI 9 update with GPU Turbo 2.0

Honor has finally started rolling out the EMUI 9 update to the Honor 10, Honor Play, and Honor V10. In a poster shared on Weibo, the company also mentioned that aside from the Android 9 Pie update, the three phones mentioned will also get version 2.0 of the GPU Turbo Technology.

According to the poster, the GPU Turbo 2.0 improved the optimization of certain games and also increases system response by 25.8%. The EMUI 9 update brings new features such as HiVision. A bit similar to Google Lens, but it also works with foods by telling you their calorie content.

Now, going to the smartphones’ respective specs: The Honor Play sports a 6.3″ FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 powered by the Kirin 970 along with a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The smartphone will also arrive with two storage variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. The Honor Play is priced at PHP 15, 990.

Going to the Honor View 10, it features a 5.99″ IPS LCD display and is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. This smartphone comes with 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. In addition, the View 10 is fueled by a 3,750 mAh battery supported by Super Charge and runs on Android Oreo.

Lastly, the Honor 10 features a 5.84-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. This handset is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 along with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB internal storage packed with 3,400mAh battery capacity and runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

For the optics, the Honor 10 has a dual camera setup 16MP color camera + 24MP monochrome camera with PDAF, Dual Tone LED flash and AI Camera. It has 24MP for the front-facing camera.
