Specs and Prices of Upcoming Huawei MateBook 13 and MateBook 14 (2020) Revealed
Huawei Philippines recently unveiled its new bang-for-the-buck mid-range thin and light laptop. Dubbed as MateBook D 15, it’s a 15″ clamshell that only retails for P37,990. For that price, you’re already getting AMD Ryzen 3500U CPU with Radeon Vega 8 GPU, 8GB RAM, and a combo of 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD. If you haven’t bought one for yourself yet, you might want to check out the recently leaked MateBook 13 (2020) and MateBook 14 (2020). Both the specs and prices were leaked by Chinese online retailer, Vmall, ahead of launch.
Huawei MateBook 13 (2020) Specs and Price
Starting with the new MateBook 13, it features 10th-gen Intel Core CPUs — Core i5-10210U and Core i7-10510U. Both are already paired with NVIDIA MX250 GPU. The 13″ display is of 3:2 aspect ratio in a crispy 1440p resolution. According to the spec sheet, it boasts an 88% screen-to-body ratio with only 4.44mm bezels. Connectivity-wise, there’s a fingerprint scanner embedded on the power button, two USB-C ports, an audio jack, dual shark-fin cooling fans, and 41.7Wh battery with 65W superfast charging support. All that in a lightweight package of 1.32kg and 14.9mm.
The prices of MateBook 13 (2020) are CNY 5,999(~P43,400) and CNY 6,999(~P50,700) for the i5 and i7 models, respectively. Both coming with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
Huawei MateBook 14 (2020) Specs and Price
As for MateBook 14, the spec sheet is nearly the same. However, it has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and one cooling fan but bigger. There’s one-touch fingerprint scanner along with the following ports:

- 1 x HDMI
- 1 x USB-C (charging and display)
- 1 x audio jack
The battery is rated at 56Wh and also supports 65W superfast charging via USB-C. It’s a slightly heftier laptop at 15.99mm and 1.53kg. The prices are CNY 5,899(~P42,700), CNY 6,399(~P46,300), and CNY 7,399(~P53,500) for the i5(8GB/512GB), i5(16GB/512GB), and i7(16GB/512GB) models, respectively.
