Fans of Microsoft laptops and tablets are very excited about the upcoming Surface products that are going to be released tomorrow. Most of the excitement comes from the fact that it will come with ARM and AMD processors (a first for Surface lineups) as well as a 15″ Surface Laptop 3 (also a first). But since we’re living in the world of the internet, anything can get leaked. This includes everything we just mentioned.
ARM-based Surface Pro Tablet
The leaked images by Evan Blass on Twitter reveal ARM-based Surface Pro. It’s a very slim tablet with the iconic built-in stand. There’s also Microsoft’s optional Alcantara-based keyboard accessory, which means it can be a 2-in-1 hybrid laptop/tablet if you have the extra cash to burn. Moreover, the volume rocker and two USB Type-C ports are located on the left side.
Surface Pro 7 Tablet
In the case of Microsoft Surface Pro 7, it’s another 2-in-1 but with powerful innards and better display quality. Albeit on the thicker side, the device features the same built-in stand and extra ports to use, like USB-A and SD card slot. Like the aforementioned Surface Pro, it works best with Microsoft’s keyboard accessory.
Surface Laptop 3 (13″ and 15″)
For those who want the old clamshell-style, Surface Laptop 3 will be available in 13″ and a new 15″ model. Spec-wise, not a lot has been revealed, however, the overall design is said to be thinner including the display. As for the larger model, it’s just a scaled-up version of the original size. Known for making Alcantara-based keyboard, Microsoft plans to release an all-metal version for the upcoming Surface Laptop 3.
By using ARM processors, battery life is expected to be great while delivering sufficient processing power. And with AMD processors, the latest Ryzen lineup is expected to offer up to 8-core CPUs.
