Despite the upcoming 3rd telco Mislatel Consortium is yet to received the licenses and go signal from both Congress and NTC, DICT has managed to put some assurances that their rollout will not face any delay.
According to acting Secretary Rio of DICT, Mislatel should continue planning and preparing their rollout as the department is only waiting for an approved resolution from Congress after passing the Senate. It’s either the Congress will make a formal letter about the resolution or they should wait for the Congress to resume on May 20th after the election.
Mislatel, on the other hand, now targets an early 2020 operation and testing then they will start the commercial services for consumers and businesses. The 3rd major telco has said that they will beat the average mobile internet speed of Globe and PLDT-SMART with a 27Mbps target on its first year of operation.
