MicroSD cards are a vital part of various gadgets and devices. They serve as an external source or additional source of storage for your gadgets, which can help out the user a lot. However, despite their importance, our eagerness and curiosity often time pushes us to make bad calls in regards to the welfare of our microSD cards. With that, we figured to highlight five bad calls that you should avoid or, at least, try to avoid, in relation to microSD cards.

Accidentally buying fake cards

I’m emphasising the word “Accidentally”, which means this isn’t exactly something that the user wanted. Since we can’t all be experts in microSD cards, some of us often make the grievous mistake of buying fake microSD cards that will greatly have a negative effect on us for the long run.

Quantity over quality

Alright, a lot of people are quite guilty of this particular entry on the list, myself included. Some of us don’t exactly care about the quality of our microSD card and would gladly buy any random card in the market, without any knowledge of its brand, credibility and whatnot.

The right card for the job

A lot of people don’t know this, but there are various types of microSD card and sometimes smartphone’s won’t even read an incompatible microSD card, which will make the card rather useless. It’s actually good to study all the different cards first and find the one that’s compatible to your handsets before diving in.

Removing the card while you’re using it

I’ve never actually tried removing my microSD card while I’m using it so, I can’t say much about. One thing for sure, some people do attempt to do this and it actually corrupts their data or worst-case scenario, completely destroys their card. It’s not a bright thing to do, so I don’t know why people would do this, but nevertheless, don’t do this.

Accidents/Incidents

There are various unexpected ways for your card to get corrupted, one particular way is getting it wet or storing it in a heated location. I’m not exactly suggesting you guys to try this out, but if you’re willing and if you’re using a microSD card that doesn’t necessary be of use to you then go for it. On the second hand don’t do it.
