Now on the other side, Asus just recently launched the Zenfone 5 which got sold out in just 45 minutes after its release in the Philippines. Also, the Asus claimed that this is their most intelligent smartphone yet.
Both handsets were highly anticipated on their release. And now that OnePlus 6 has finally arrived, it’s time to set this device against the Asus Zenfone 5.

The OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch Full Optic FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2180 pixels and on the other hand, the Asus Zenfone comes with a bit smaller screen, a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio 18.7:9 and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels.
Under the hood, OnePlus 6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 along with RAM and internal variants of 6GB RAM/64GB ROM, 8GB RAM/128GB ROM, 8GB RAM/256GB ROM while the Zenfone 5 carries Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with RAM variants of 4GB/6GB with 64GB internal storage. Both handsets are packed with 3300mAh for battery capacity and run Android Oreo except that OnePlus 6 is higher with 8.1 version.
When it comes to optics, OnePlus 6 is far superior with dual 20MP + 16P with both having a f/1.7 aperture for the primary camera, and 16MP for the front-facing camera while Zenfone 5 is also equipped with dual camera lenses 12MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.0 and it has 8MP for selfies.
The OnePlus 6 will be available in three color variants – Silk White, Midnight Black, and Mirror Black. Both black colors will be released on May 22 followed by Silk White on June. However, the handset is yet to arrive here in the Philippines so we’ll still have to wait for the official release, on the other hand, Asus Zenfone 5 is available in colors Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver for the retail price of Php 19, 995.
