It’s official, Samsung Philippines has announced the availability of the 2016 models of Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy J1.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 model retails of Php 5,490, a very close pricing to the 2015 model of the Galaxy J1 when the latter was officially released back last year.
Galaxy J1 2016 brings a big hardware upgrade compared to J1 2015
Looking at the specs and features, it looks like the Galaxy J1 2016 will be a great improvement and upgrade to its predecessor. The screen is now Super AMOLED and the connectivity is upgraded to 4G LTE with the same dual-SIM micro support.
The biggest internal hardware changes are the processor and chipset as well as the amount of RAM and storage capacity. From 512MB RAM it is now 1GB, the internal memory or ROM is upgraded to 8GB from 4GB. The microSD card support is retained.
There is no official pricing for the Galaxy A5 2016 yet, but Samsung PH already stated that it will be released soon.
