A lot of people aren’t fans of night shooting, some may think that it’s rather dangerous to go walking around and taking a picture on the streets with your smartphone at night and to be clear it is. However, once you get past that overwhelming paranoia, I’m sure you’ll eventually find the joy in night shooting.
And since the Galaxy S7 focuses more on how low-light shots can be improved, it’s safe to say that night shooting will now become a norm since people would love to see how its sensors do. With that, we figured to list down a few good reasons why night time is one of the best times to go on “full photographer” mode.

The nightlife is full of interesting things to shoot
Well, to be honest, you shouldn’t be that “guy” that creepy shots random people in parties, especially at night, but for as long as the intention is clean then shoot away. Teens and millennials often time have their day on “night time” so parties and occasional clubbing is a thing. These are also the times that you and your good friends have the time of your lives, so capturing these moments with your camera or smartphone is always a good thing. Try not to overdo it, though.
Night shooting outputs can be sometimes “mesmerizing”
You can’t argue with the fact that night time shooting brings out a lot of interesting outputs, in terms of creativity and overall beauty. The “city in the dark” theme of landscape shooting is quite a common example of such. You can do a lot of creative and amazing shots at night, which should bring out your “inner photographer”.
Few people, lesser background factors
At night, people are usually at home, having dinner or sleeping, and depending on where you are, people won’t be around much. Mostly, though, people had been entirely minimized that if you’re looking to go on an all-out-shoot-athon, it won’t much of a problem, it terms of background factors. There are also fewer people around that would distract you from what you’re doing, which means you can put all you attention on your shooting. Easy peasy.
A romantic shot is easy
I’m not being a romantic here, but we can’t hide the fact that everything feels and looks rather more romantic at night time. The shimmering city streets and the street lamps are always good optional artificial lighting at night time that lovers often time take pleasure of, in an image taking point-of-view of course. This could be the reason why some couples would often time go to parks at not since the ambiance feels rather calm and fulfilling.
Atmospheric lightness
As I’ve mentioned in the previous entry, night time makes things calmer, which primarily means that you can sometimes focus more on night time than on the daytime. I personally know a lot of people that functions better, mentally and physically in night time than day time, because they simply felt at ease at night time and with that, they’re able to function well. When taking images at night, it can be quite relaxing and stress free, which should always be a good thing.
