Vertu Constellation to be official around mid-Feb
The UK-based company, Vertu, aims to sell its jaw-dropping price of the ‘Vertu Constellation‘ smartphone around mid-Feb.
Why ‘jaw-dropping’ you asked? That is because of the ‘high-end’ materials used in manufacturing the device. But what about its specifications? Let’s have a rundown.
Full Specs
Vertu Constellation sports a 5.5-inch WQHD AMOLED display at 538ppi covered in 140 carat sapphire crystal for protection. Just like the limited edition HTC U Ultra Sapphire but with more value.

Spec-wise, the pricey smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is also available for expansion.
The main camera comes with 12MP sensor with 1.55um pixels and can record up to 4K resolution. Not pretty bad so far.
A 3220mAh battery powers the device via the USB Type-C port with wireless charging capability. Constellation runs under Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Silent Circle as its security feature.
Additionally, the front-facing stereo speakers boast “exceptional acoustic performance, achieved with Dolby Digital Plus virtual surround sound processing”.
Apparently, it is the first Vertu phone to support dual-SIM card. Pretty surprising for a phone with a hefty price tag.
In paper, the device looks to be a regular high-end smartphone but the design gives an entirely different impression compared to your regular daily driver.
Hand-crafted device
Aside from the 140 carat sapphire glass protection, the hand-crafted device is made up of anodized aluminum and finished with leather “from a specialist, family-run tannery in Italy”.
A 24-hour concierge service is available on the device by pressing the ruby button on the side and also, you have a privilege to access iPass, the world’s largest Wi-Fi network.
There were no price released for the Constellation but based on the products that they have released in the past, the price ranges from one thousand to ten thousand US dollars.
