As one of the first to introduce the motorized camera, problems and bugs are a possibility to encounter. So recently, it was reported that the latest Vivo NEX Pop-Up camera extends even without opening the camera application itself.
On a video posted in Weibo, the user demonstrated how the camera elevates. When the user opened the New Message in Telegram, the camera opened and closed when messaging app closed.
It’s not just the Telegram, others have been complaining that when they opened the Tencent’s QQ browser also prompts Vivo NEX’s front-facing camera. But according to Tencent, it does not record anything when it is elevated. They are putting the blame to the Android’s camera APIs since its QR code scanning nature tends to trigger the camera.
Vivo spokesperson stated that their technical team are aware and is making an action for the following update to fix the problem.
