If you think Xiaomi is just for smartphones well, you should know the Xiaomi’s Mijia platform where they cover a broad range of devices from home furniture, toys, and car accessories. As a matter of fact, Xiaomi finally launched the Mi Smart Rearview that comes with a video recording capabilities.
Looking through the device’s function, you’ll think that it’s a combination of a rearview mirror, dash camera, and a backup camera. Although, the backup was purchased separately for those people in need of reversing the clips.
As for the Mi Smart Rearview Mirror’s specs, it has a 5-inch IPS touch display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
Under the hood, it supports 16GB to 64GB class 10 microSD cards and packed with 470 mAh battery capacity rechargeable via cigarette lighter port. It can be connected to Mijia app via Wi-Fi. It records videos and photos that are viewed in the Mijia app at a real time. Clips and images from the device can be saved directly on your mobile devices also through the app and can be controlled using voice.
Going to the camera, it features a Sony IMX323 with a 160° field of view with an aperture of f/1.8. The 70mai Backup Camera has a 138° field of view and is IPX7 waterproof. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come with the default Mi Smart Rearview Mirror product. This can record and take photos at 720p.
The Mi Smart Rearview Mirror and 70mai Backup Camera is priced at r ¥399 (~$62) and ¥99 (~$15) and will be available on June 16.
