Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 concept renders with 18:9 display, dual cameras, and huge battery

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer might unveil the Mi 7 flagship at the Mobile World Congress 2018 event in Barcelona. Also, several insiders claim that Xiaomi has planned to release the Redmi Note 5 before the Mi 7, suggesting that the Redmi Note 5 may get unveiled by the end of February. Now, a concept video of the Redmi Note 5 was spotted and shows an 18:9 display with thin bezels.

There’s also a vertically-placed dual camera setup above a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 base model is rumored to have GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 630, while the higher variant will be powered by Snapdragon 636 chipset is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

According to some leaks, it could feature a 5.99-inch display and likely to support FHD+. For the cameras, a 16-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 5-megapixel sensor. It will also have an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. It also packs a massive 4,100 mAh battery.

The base model of the upcoming smartphone is rumored to have a price tag of 1,499 Yuan, which currently translates to $237, on the other hand, the higher variant with 1,799 Yuan price tag, which is roughly around $284.
