Amidst the series of extravagant celebrity weddings that took place recently, OPM singer Kitchie Nadal proved a very strong point about nuptials. It is that wedding is not about the dress or the occasion itself but about the sanctity of the vows between the couple.
Anna Katrina Nadal (Kitchie’s real name), married her Spanish boyfriend, NGO worker Carlos Lopez wearing a gown that she purchased for only P799 from a boutique in Makati.
A good friend of the singer, Nina Sandejas accounted on her blog that the dress perfectly fitted Nadal on her first try. Nadal don a ‘rock-and-roll-bride-look’ in her get-up.
“The story about her dress floored everyone and this should show all brides around the world that sometimes it’s about the woman and not the dress,” said Nina.
Kitchie even did her own make-up. The couple decided to not spend much on this occasion since they are both supporting charity organizations. Friends and family came to lend their hands to help in financial and physical preparation to make the event happen at a low cost as much as possible.
The Christian autumn-themed wedding took place at Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay on February 26Â and was followed by a post-celebration at Cebu.
Who would realize that from such cheap price, a simple yet extremely elegant gown would come? Truly, it’s all about the woman and not just the dress!
