A report suggested that the upcoming Surface phones could potentially pack Qualcomm’s next-in-line chip, the Snapdragon 830. This was speculated when Forbes found out from a list of the compatible chipset on Windows 10, the MSM8998, which was thought to be the said upcoming Qualcomm chip. From this, many have speculated that the Surface phones will have the capability of leaping forward to 8GB of RAM, when necessary, which would make things a lot more interesting for the soon-to-be-introduced Surface phones.
Despite being longshot presumptions, it seems that at least one of them are in fact, a possibility and we’re referring to the possible 8GB of RAM leap. Since currently, Microsoft is focusing on strengthening up the Windows 10’s capability across hardware, enabling a possible demand to increase the performance value of future Microsoft phones, which could result in the 8GB upgrade.
