Reminiscent and respectful of the beloved, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

The Xperia M5 was able to showcase a few interesting upgrades, from its predecessor the Xperia M4 Aqua, though, certain beloved features of the Xperia M4 Aqua we’re kept, to initiate a feel-at-home feel to past Xperia users and properly introduce non-Xperia users to the well-know trademarks of the Xperia brand. This was a bold move, but, i think it paid off, since the Xperia M5’s overall new ‘improvements’, were truly in sync, with the old features of Xperia M4 Aqua. The thing that struck us most is its design, and how it truly resembles the Xperia M4 Aqua in many ways, exterior-wise. Though, there were seen changes in physical button positioning, which to us, felt like a well-thought innovation, since the change delivered a more utility-wise approach on overall exterior design.

Was able to hold its own against top mid-ranged powerhouses

Upon receiving the Sony Xperia M5, we’ll simply gave all our attention to the latter, we paired it up, with a few true and blue top mid-ranged devices in the philippine market and was able to showcase a few of its ‘talents’ to the mid-ranged monsters. We also faced the Xperia M5, with the mid-range devices who possesses laser autofocus system (article is available here). and it surpassed some of our expectations cleanly. However, it did have a few troubling encounters, in terms of system, although, if thats not something you’ll care about, then overall the Xperia M5 did excellently in our comparison reviews.

Top-notch camera capabilities

Upon these comparison, we were able to conclude that the Xperia M5 packed, one heck of a camera system. Its 21.5MP rear shooter and 13MP selfie shooter was already a huge factor in the comparisons, since, the Xperia M5 was able to set some standards, as to what, future mid-ranged devices should do or have. The monstrous camera was able to deliver crisp and clear images, but had a few drawbacks in terms of night shots, so for those, who aim to take their Xperia M5 into the dark corners of the world, we’ll, the camera might not function as good as it does on daylight. The thing that gave as all here a big ‘WOW’ was its focusing speed. Sony was quite true to their words that the Xperia M5 would possesses a very quick autofocusing speed, which shocked us quite a bit. For video performance, the Xperia M5 4K UHD video recorder was truly something to look forward to. Its outputs were beyond our expectation and yes, we pretty much enjoyed it

Verdict

The Xperia M5 has a few bits of negatives in it, but, honestly to us, the negatives weren’t even worth the mention, since the Xperia M5 delivered one heck of an overall performance with its 21.5MP and 13MP rear and front shooter, as well as its 4K UHD video recorder and other mentioned features and specifications of the latter. So overall, we’re confident to say that the Sony Xperia M5 is an upper mid-ranged smartphone that is worth every penny and for as long, as its no trouble to you, to purchase it, at Php 23,390. Then, all is good and were confident to say that it’ll probably be the most worthwhile buy you’ll do in your life.
