Honor Germany also stated, “there will be no new Honor phones that do not have a FullView display” in the future. Also, Quandt stated in his tweet that Honor will start rolling out the EMU 8 Oreo-based in February to selected models.
This February, only the Honor 8 Pro and Honor 9 devices will receive the update, while Honor 7X will have to wait until Q2. Honor 8 users might have to wait for further announcements since “it’s complicated”. According to the rep, an upgrade to Oreo is not coming yet, but “will have a surprise in this regard in the near future”.
