In a lengthy message posted on its site, the company said, “We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down. We apologize.”
As an apology, the company is now offering reduced out-of-warranty battery replacement. Apple users can now replace their batteries for $29 from the original price of $79. However, the offer will not last for long. Yes, it’s only temporary. The discount is only valid until the end of 2018.
Apple will also release an IOS update early next year that’ll give users more info on the health of their iPhone’s battery.
“First and foremost, we have never — and would never — do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades,” the post said. Check Apple’s post here.
