The newly released iPad Pros are very expensive, premium tablets that are powered by a powerful chipset and comes with pro-grade displays. However, despite the high price tag (11-inch iPad Pro priced at P51990 pesos and P64990 for the 12-inch model), it seems the company has failed to ship it without visible defects.
In the latest photos from different websites, these shows that some iPad Pros come with slightly bent aluminum chassis. Some are barely noticeable but some are significantly bent out of the box.

Apple has issued a response telling its customers that these are normal and within their standards. They also mentioned that the cause was due to the manufacturing’s cooling system after molding the chassis. They have quite given an assurance that by normal usage the magnitude of the bending will not increase.
It’s quite unusual for Apple given they are asking premium pricing from their products. Time will tell if the Cupertino giant could really address these issues properly and fix the problem permanently. Maybe that will happen once civil lawsuits will start to appear.
Are Philippine iPad Pro units affected by bending issue?
Because of the small numbers of sold units in the Philippines, we are yet to find out if there are customers affected by the bent gate. However, for those who bought iPad Pros recently, it’s better to check your device so that you could install some covers. There is also a chance you could replace it from the authorized store.
