We’re all familiar with cashless payments and how it has started to make an impact here in the Philippines. Our citizens have the luxury of having fast transactions when buying books, food, clothes, and many more. With the Philippines having more and more tourists, it would be very efficient if they could have the same convenience.

Fortunately, Asia United Bank (AUB) created a new mobile application that allows a fast, secure and convenient payment method to Chinese tourists. The AUB Payment App supports WeChat Pay which is the main payment method in China. Partnering with AUB will be advantageous for businesses since the Chinese are one of the main tourists in the Philippines.

Merchants from around the Philippines have already started partnering with AUB. An example is the Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI) who implemented this method in Robinsons Place Manila in Ermita, Manila. Among these stores are Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Handyman, Robinsons Appliances, Toys “R” Us and Daiso Japan.

For PH based merchants, payment transactions will be fast, secure and convenient. Moreover, Chinese tourists are more likely to purchase from a store with a payment method familiar to them.
