Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new feature to its social media app during the company’s conference keynote in California. The company will be adding dating features on the said social networking app.

The dating profiles on Facebook will look similar to the likes of Tinder and Bumble but it will be highlighting the user’s interest or events and groups that the user is part of. There’s also going to be an “unlocking” feature, which will let other people view their profiles to other attendees of certain events. There will also be a separate messenger for dating.
“This is going to be for building real, long-term relationships — not just for hookups,” Zuckerberg joked onstage. He added that it’s going to be within the main Facebook app, but it will be completely optional and opt-in only. “We have designed this with privacy and safety in mind from the beginning. Your friends aren’t going to see your profile, and you’re only going to be suggested to people who are not your friends.” – Credits to The Verge
