The LG V10’s video functions are what LG is seeing as the main functionality of the phone, marketing the latter to professional video shooters and all. With that in mind, we figured to provide you guys a list of LG V10’s video functions and learn as to why the V10 is a good alternative to professional DSLR shooters. Without further a due, lets get busy.
Table of Contents
Quick Video Editor
The LG V10 features a very simple to use quick video editing feature that we were able to use on LG V10’s launching event. The overall editing feature was as simple as it can be, enabling you to trim down and change the frame rate and speed, as well as a add after-effects on the video, with either colours or background music. It was easy to use, though, to be honest it was very limited. For one thing, only one video can be used as an editing tool, you can’t combine two videos and edit them out all together, like other PC video editing softwares, though despite this limited capability of the video editor of the V10 (it is known as quick video editor, and not an all in full editing feature), its still pretty useful on most occasions, especially, if you’re aiming to dish out something new, out of the blue.

Audio monitoring
Now i’m not exactly sure, if this particular feature is present in any other device, but somehow, this device is quite useful. The audio monitoring feature enables the user to adjust and set the sensitivity rate of the three microphones of the V10, enabling a more accurate audio capture upon recording. You can also directly monitor and control up, close audio inputs, like a video editing software could do, though, as to its video editing feature, its pretty much limited. Despite being limited in audio editing feature, the V10 can be seen to be truly committed to the video capability overall, with all this built-in quick editing system for both audio and video, which is highly useful, for emergency video and audio editing scenarios, a great phone to have, if you always get yourself into those types of situation.

Wind noise filter
This is another audio function of the V10 that actually gets me. The wind noise filter is somehow a feature that can be found to DSLRs and whatnot, it just goes to show that LG really did there homework in what would videographers worry about on shooting days, with the wind noise being a major problem. A good function to have and has a very straight-to-the-point function, this is really a function that was well-thought of and should primarily be useful on some occasions. Blocking out the wind noise on the video, while adding up to the audio editing freeness on the V10 will surely be efficient, in all manners.

15-secs auto edit
The 15-secs auto edit on the V10 isn’t actually something that can be used every time, since this is mostly reliant on the phones ability to pick certain frames and blurred them out. Despite being a simplified auto editing feature, its pretty much limited and is limited by all means, though for emergency quick editing situations, this is probably one of the best functions of the phone, since most likely, videos to be edited here are for social media purposes. The videos are immediately compressed for the sole purposes of sharing it on social media, so, worrying about the largeness of the file is a thing of the past for the v10, the V10’s auto compress capability is one to look at and one to look forward to.

Snap video mode
If you’re into social media and whatnot, then snap chat and snap videos aren’t exactly that strange to you, but to me, who honestly didn’t know that this existed only after being on the V10 event, is probably not in it on the trends (its funny because i’m a tech writer and i don’t know anything about snap chat and whatnot). Well, the V10 offers a Snap video mode, wherein it’ll create one video, by combining many tiny bits of pieces from short videos. Its like 1 second everyday, but a bit more lengthy in content. This is actually not a bad feature, since it promotes social media creativity, which everyone should go and tryout their V10 on random snap videos, just for fun, professionally though, i don’t know how this function could be useful, but who am i to judge. We might see videographers creatively use this feature for unbelievable outputs and its all thanks to the V10.
