HP’s business-centric 2-in-1 Elite Dragonfly G2 laptop now features up to six-core Intel 10th-gen CPUs, a Tile tracker for security, and an optional 5G model for an always-connected device. The original price of Elite Dragonfly was $1,549(~P78K), so expect its successor to be priced around that. The release date is said to be as early as February in North America.
The American company touts the Dragonfly G2 as a Macbook Air competitor. In comparison, it has more processing power than the casually-spec Apple device alternative. The aluminum-based design is made out of 100% recycled materials. It only weighs 2.2 pounds in a very thin profile. This 2-in-1 laptop separates itself from the rest by sporting powerful specs. It can support up to six-core, 12 threads 10th-gen Intel CPU with up to 2TB of SSD storage. Depending on the CPU model, the battery can last up to 24 hours of use. The display may also impact battery life, as there’s an option to go up to 4K resolution with HDR 400 support.
There are two real upgrades for the Dragonfly F2. The first one is the Tile Tracker. You can track the device’s location (as long as the battery isn’t depleted) through an app. Second is the support for 5G. There will be a model with Qualcomm X55 modem that enables LTE + 5G connectivity.
HP Elite Dragonfly F2 is only in its second year, so it’s a relatively new laptop on the market. However, it already has features that can’t be found from most of its competition.
