DESIGN

We have to praise HP for creating a very premium and gorgeous design like of HP ENVY x360’s. As long as you open the box and its accessories, you will feel like it’s crafted for perfection. The robustness and minimalist design make it phenomenal and flagship-like. You certainly wouldn’t feel any awkwardness bringing the device during your meeting or even in the library considering its price point.

The bezels of the screen are very thin giving your eyes a full-view of what’s on the screen. Surprisingly, HP ENVY x360’s screen is protected by Gorilla Glass is known for its strength and scratch-resistance capabilities.

HP ENVY x360 with AMD variant has only one color option, Dark Ash Silver but we think, this doesn’t make it a downer since the color is very eye-catching.

At the sides, you will notice its decent number of ports despite its slim design. Ports include a USB 3.0 port, headphone jack, power button, microSD card slot, volume rockers, and USB Type C port.

What makes HP ENVY x360 even more interesting? It’s a 2-in-1 device that you can use as a laptop or a tablet depending on your preference. This allows you to use it in four modes: laptop mode as well as tent mode where the keyboard is bent backward, turning ENVY x360 ‘V’ shape, where the keyboard is used as a stand with the screen angled at 90 degrees.

Speaking of keyboard experience, the keys have considerable travel and feel tactile and easy to get used with when coming from another type of keyboard.

ENTERTAINMENT AND DISPLAY

HP is very generous to produce a laptop that is not just a multi-tasking performer but also entertains your senses.

HP ENVY x360 has a 13’’ Full HD 1080p IPS LCD touchscreen. The display is crisp and vivid enough to make you enjoy watching your movies online.

The company has also partnered with Bang and Olufsen to give you quad-firing speakers that HP says, “Awaken your senses with PC audio perfection.” We have to admit that the sound it produces is above what we expected. It’s very impressive and different from other laptop devices. The sound has clarity and you can actually enjoy listening to your favorite songs all day long!

PROCESSOR AND GRAPHICS

Unlike other HP flagship laptop models that come with Intel processors, HP ENVY x360 has chosen AMD-Ryzen to power itself. HP ENVY x360 run by AMD-Ryzen chipset is notable to be cheaper than other HP x360 sub-brands with Intel processors, giving customers a good choice for an affordable price.

When it comes to processing, HP ENVY x360 is using AMD Ryzen 7 processor that is known to be power-efficient and also a good performer.

GAMING TESTS

The performance may not seem outstanding enough for heavy-duty gaming and video rendering but we think that ENVY x360 with AMD Ryzen 7 can still manage to take your daily basic computer needs.

When it comes to gaming, the Ryzen 7 chipset performs. Usually, laptops this size can only run PC games in low settings but thanks to Ryzen 7’s performance capabilities producing extra oomph in several titles like PUBG, DOTA 2, and Fortnite.

BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING

The battery life of the HP ENVY x360 is averagely good when in general usages like web browsing, Microsoft Word document editing, and video playback. Running graphics intensive tasks like Photoshop could drain the juice faster. Overall, it has a decent capacity and longevity especially considering its lightweight design.

Here are two of the battery tests conducted on HP Envy x360:

PCMark 8 Battery Life: 3 hours and 29 minutes
