Huawei finally unveiled the two of the most-talked about smartphone of the year – P20 and P20 Pro. Both the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro features the same notch that was first found on the Apple iPhone X. Now, as the company launched the flagship smartphones, many are stunned – including us!
The P20 comes with an upgraded Leica Dual Camera with a massive 1/2.3″ 12MP RGB sensor with OIS, f/1.6 lens. The second snapper is a 20MP monochrome shooter – same as on the Mate 10, also behind f/1.6 lens. On top of that, it also features PDAF, laser, contrast, and depth detection, and a dual-tone LED flash.
In addition, the P20 can also take portrait shots, various background and lighting effects, 2x lossless zoom, and it can capture 720p@960fps slow-mo videos.
For taking selfies, it comes with a 24MP sensor with f/2.0 lens. It can take selfies with bokeh and studio-lightning effects. Huawei also claims that its new flagships’ Face Unlock are faster than Samsung’s Galaxy S9+ and Apple iPhone X.
The new Huawei smartphone will be available in Twilight, Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold and Champagne Gold color variants.
The highlight of this model is its Leica Triple Camera. There’s the 40MP large 1/1.7″ color sensor with f/1.8 lens and OIS, and an 8MP color one with f/2.4 telephoto lens. Not just that, it also has a separated monochrome sensor, which is a 20MP camera with f/1.6 aperture.
Another highlight of the Huawei P20 Pro that really shocked us all is the ISO of 102,400. Similar to the P20, the P20 Pro has a 24MP front snapper with f/2.0 lens.
Both the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will run on Android 8.1 with EMUI 8.1. Unlike the other phones with notches, these Huawei phones lets you decide if you want the notch on you’re screen or not.
Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are available globally, with the P20 carrying the price tag of €649, while the P20 Pro with the €899 price tag.
