Despite being only launched a couple of months ago, Huawei’s Mate 8 is starting to look rather old, thanks to a few recent rumours regarding its successor, the Mate 8. Let’s take a look at these rumours and why it seems to interest the majority of people over the internet, Huawei fans or non-Huawei fans alike.

These rumours state that the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 might feature a yet-to-be-unveiled Kirin 960 chip, which is taking far-seeing to a whole level. Additional, the Huawei Mate 9 is said to feature a 20MP dual camera setup, which is a bit out-of-the-ordinary for Huawei.
Accordingly, it seems that Leica optics might actually play a part in developing the Huawei Mate 9’s camera, which sounds promising, seeing how the P9 seems to be a worthwhile shooter at first glance. For now, we can only make assumptions as it is the way to early to find or expect confirmation from Huawei.
