The Huawei Matebook X Pro has just arrived to the U.S market today. It was reported that the company’s smartphones’ sales stopped in the past due to some criticisms from U.S intelligence agencies. With the recent launch of this laptop, it proves that Huawei still has plans to continue its business in the U.S.
The Matebook X Pro was first launched during the Mobile World Congress 2018 which was a more improved version of the previous Matebook X. It seemes difficult but Huawei managed to create a laptop with even thinner bezels as well as provide a screen-to-body ratio up to 91%.
In order to accommodate its full-screen feature, the company decided to position its camera between the F7 and F8 keys. When necessary, the camera will pop out. For users who are scared of the possibility that they’re being watched, this is an excellent feature. In addition, the Matebook X Pro has a spill-proof keyboard.
The Matebook X Pro features a 13.9″ 3K touch display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000. It is powered by Intel’s 8th gen processor in Core i5 and i7 configurations along with 8/16GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of SSD. The device sports a NVIDIA’s GeForce MX150 graphics card with a large battery that is expected to last for 12 hours. The battery is supported by a fast charger that gets you 6 hours of battery life after just 30 minutes of charge. Additional features of the Matebook X Pro include two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, a fingerprint scanner, quad speakers, and four long-range microphones.
The laptop is currently available in the United States through Amazon and is available in the colors – Space Gray and Mystic Silver. Its price depends on its versions. The Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD is priced at $1,199.99 (approx. Php. 62,753) and the Core i7 processor with 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD has a price of $1,499.99 (approx. Php 78,441).
