According to a Japanese site, dubbed Macotakara and courtesy of PhoneArena, it seems that Apple will be cutting off some fat on the possible iPhone 7, due to a few plans in sealing the phone to completely assist the water-resistant feature, sacrificing the 3.5mm jack for the improve utility of water-resistance.
iPhone 7 users will now need a dedicated bluetooth headset or connect over through a lightning port to use headsets and music-related add-ons. Apple also reported that they’ll be bundling the iPhone 7 with lightning port-capable earbuds, to assist the buyer’s music and listening needs. Third party Apple headset or earphone sellers seem to require having a lightning port assisting their products to make it compatible to the iPhone 7, which is a bit hasty and inefficient.
The iPhone 7 could be announced next September, though we expect it to come earlier this year. What do you think of Apple, ditching the 3.5mm jack to increase the iPhone 7’s water-resistant feature? Hit us up on the comments section below and share your thoughts with us.
