Lenovo Tab 4 Series
In an attempt to make tablets great again, Lenovo launches their latest mainstream tablet – the Lenovo Tab 4 Series.
Tab 4 Series comes in two base models – Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10. Just like what the name states, the Tab 4 8 is an 8-inch tablet set at 1200×800 resolution while the Tab 4 10(you guess it) is a 10-inch device.
The base models are basically aimed to multimedia users who loves to spend time watching and listening to music with its own Dolby Atmos Stereo speakers.
This is handled by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage.
But that’s just for the base models. If what you seek is more power, then the Tab 4 8 Plus and Tab 4 10 Plus might be perfect for you.
In giving up more money for the Plus variants, you are getting a dual-glass design, better processor, higher RAM and storage, a standard 1080p display, USB Type-C port with Quick Charge 3.0, a fingerprint scanner and stronger Wi-Fi modem.
One interesting feature of the Tab 4 Series allows you to create multiple accounts. In case you are sharing it with someone, they can create their own one – making your personal sign-in untouched including the settings and social media accounts.
Optional Kid’s and Productivity Pack
What makes the Tab 4 Series a “tablet for the whole family” is the optional Kid’s Pack and Productivity Pack.
The Kid’s pack includes a shock-resistant bumper, a blue-light filter, and a pair of colorful 3M stickers for protection.
The dedicated Kid’s Account features curated user interface for children with built-in Parental controls – scheduling tool and content management interface for monitoring activities.
Aimed for students and parents, the Productiviy pack transforms the tablet into a 2-in-1 Android workhorse that includes a Bluetooth keyboard that doubles as a protective sleeve and stand.
Once attached, the tablet changes into a laptop-like interface with a taskbar and support for multiple windows. All of these are, of course, usable with a mouse and a keyboard.
The Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10 start at €169 or Php8,995($179) and €179($189) or Php9,500, respectively.
The Tab 4 8 Plus retails at €259 or almost Php14,000($274) and the Tab 4 10 Plus at €299 or almost Php16,000($316).
The Lenovo Tab 4 Series tablets will be available in EMEA beginning late May.
