LG G6 invite

As we get closer to Mobile World Congress, LG continues to drop hints on the phone, as well as the official invite for the upcoming event, particularly, the announcement of the LG G6.

The official invitation sent to Engadget outlines the ‘big screen’ of the G6 ‘that fits’ to the hands.

The company mentioned before that it has an unusual 18:9 aspect ratio display – meaning this will be all screen and less bezels.

Dubbing the screen by LG as ‘Full Vision’, it’s pretty exciting to see how much of the screen will occupy the front’s real estate.

Although numerous sleek renders were leaked in the past few days, this could still be changed once it goes official.

LG continued to highlight the G6 with waterproofing capability that was included in a video teaser just a few weeks ago.

Spec-wise, Samsung hoarded all the supplies of the Snapdragon 835 so the closest alternative would be the 821 chipset.

A recent benchmark though has surfaced with model number LG H871 sporting a Snapdragon 820 SoC, but this is highly unlikely for the G6 so this could be for the Lite version of the device.

With Samsung out of the picture for the MWC, it’s LG’s chance to gain momentum on the upcoming trade show especially after a good start from the V20.
