After the budget LG Q6 series was released recently, a new powerful smartphone is added to the list of LG’s devices, the LG Q8. Well, some noted that this smartphone is just a smaller of the LG V20 as some call it Japan’s LG V34. So, let’s find out the key differences including the specs and estimated pricing.
LG Q8 boasts a much smaller version of the LG V20 through its 5.2-inch QHD IPS primary display plus a secondary ticker display, making it more compact and easier for others. Aside from the sleek metal body, the device also offers an IP67 water and dust-resistance capability while powered by a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery.
The LG Q8 is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. Under the hood is 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB. The pocket-friendly handset was revealed to also feature a rear dual camera setup of a 13-megapixel f/1.8 standard lens and an 8-megapixel f/2.4 wide angle lens. Meanwhile, the front camera is selfie-snapper of a 5-megapixel f/1.9 wide angle lens.
News points out that the release of the LG Q8 in Asia will arrive shortly after its Europe release. Yet, the launch date is rumored to be revealed at the company’s event this upcoming August 31. Unfortunately, pricing and availability wasn’t totally disclosed but is rumored to cost €599 or less in Europe.
