It was a couple of months ago when we got our hands on one of the review units of the Nexus 6P–the company’s first Nexus smartphone entry in collaboration with Google. Now, we are here to share the top five features we loved, missed, and certainly wanted to experience again in Nexus 6P. And not just as features alone, but as top five reasons to get your very own Nexus 6P.
The Nexus 6P definitely made a big step forward not just for Huawei, but for the entire Nexus lineup as well when it was announced. With its high-grade all-aluminum design and stereo speakers, which are just some of its top features, it’s really served as the standard of premium hardware to beat in the flagship smartphone category. And of course, making it a not just a certified King of Android, but a King of Smartphones.
Top 5 Reasons To Check Out Huawei Nexus 6P
Iconic Design
The Nexus line is no more a set of Android phones with just the latest software around the block. It has all changed when Huawei announced the Nexus 6P. This sets the new standard for a premium hardware with the all-aluminum, iconic unibody design of the King.
The glass visor on the back adds appeal and balance on top of the elegant metal build of the Nexus 6P. This gives a spotlight to the camera and few sensors of the phone as well.
Meanwhile, the Gorilla Glass 4 up front is curved on edges producing a seamless touch experience when you swipe. Unlike the capacitive buttons, the positioning of the on-screen keys is more ergonomic and easy-to-reach. There are no accidental touches as the bezel is kept minimum for your fingers to easily navigate those buttons.
Punchy AMOLED Display
Rocking a 5.7-inch wide AMOLED 2K screen, viewing experience is just way immersive compared to standard LCDs. AMOLED keeps the colors more punchy, blacks deeper, and visibility clearer. On top of those, the AMOLED panel on Nexus 6P provides more solid viewing angles where ever you are; either in dimly indoor scenes or outdoors under the bright sunshine.
Rich Audio
Most manufacturers today neglect to put a more solid, more powerful audio output in smartphone speakers. But that’s not true in Nexus 6P. The speakers we found is one of the few loudspeakers built with stereo or dual-channel properties. Not only it sounds richer compared to a single speaker, the quality of vocals and level of bass you would get is also top-notch, solid, and loud.
Camera is best in colors and low-light
One thing we noticed instantly after taking few shots with the 12.3MP main camera of the Nexus 6P is how realistic the colors and crisp the details in images. The primary reason is that the sensor on the back is very large while maintaining the best resolution at 12MP. It’s comparable to cameras with higher megapixels sensor of other brands, but the sensor on Nexus 6P has way larger pixels at 1.55um (one of biggest pixels in smartphones at the moment).
The product of this is a sharp 4K and SloMo video recording, superb low light capability, and more preserved detail in images. You can check the actual images below.
Pairing the Nexus 6P’s main snapper is an 8MP selfie shooter that shoots natural looking yet brighter portrait photos.
Latest Google Android
Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, the user’s experience on Nexus 6P is the latest and greatest from Google with very rich ecosystem including Gmail app, Youtube, Photos, Google Now and much more.
Not only you will get the access to the latest software just like the upcoming Android 7.0 N (Nutella), but to a smooth and fluid multitasking, gaming, and browsing experience as well. The software is then backed by a beastly octa-core Snapdragon processor and 3Â GB RAM inside.
Bonus
Having experienced the fingerprint sensors on Galaxy and iPhone, the sensor on the Nexus 6P is just way faster and more accurate. It also works most of the time even my fingers are sweaty. In fact, it’s one of the fastest scanners right now.
If I really wanted to write the best features I loved from the Nexus 6P, I can definitely fill this page up for a couple thousand of words. These are just the highlight of my favorites and also enough reasons for me to say that the Nexus 6P indeed is the King that has its own a title in mobile technology.
