The Motorola Nexus 6 didn’t reach the Philippines, but luckily, few online stores has offered it here locally since it become available in other countries. Right now, you could get the Nexus 6 32GB variant for P22,900.
Despite being available for months already, the Nexus 6 still pack a punch and could rival flagship phablets today. Checkout our unboxing, first impressions and size comparison with Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML.

Unboxing the Nexus 6 – What’s in the box?
Like most of brands these days, Motorola tried cutting the cost by omitting a stereo headset in the retail box. What you will find from the box are the unit itself with built-in battery, sim card ejector, manuals and warranty, USB data cable and 1.6A power adapter.

First Impressions
The Nexus 6 is a 6-inch phablet and just an inch more then it will be sitting alongside the size of Nexus 7 tablet. But for a 6-inch phablet, the Nexus 6 feels compact because of the impressive screen-to-body ratio of 74.1%.
With the metal frame and matte polycarbonate back, the Nexus 6 is a helluva solid device. Adding to the robustness is the 184g weight, which is a bit hefty but surely anyone could adapt to its weight. The tapered or curved back makes the Nexus 6 comfortable to hold with its thickest point at 10.1mm while sides remain thinner.
Underneath of the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 is a QHD AMOLED screen, perhaps one of the sharpest 6-inch we’ve encountered. Instead of physical home keys, the Nexus 6 utilizes on-screen keys of Lollipop. A metal accented speaker grill protrudes each on top and bottom of the glass with the 2MP selfie cam on top left.
Only two physical controls are present on the Nexus 6: power/lock combo and volume rocker, both found on the right side. Keys are solid and easy to reach with thumb.
The curved back houses the sculpted Nexus logo while the Moto logo sits on the dimpled area. The ring flash is composed of dual-LED flash encircling the 13MP main shooter.
There are more to find out on the Nexus 6 but we will reserve that on our upcoming comparison and review.
